Dell might be a good choice for you. They are in your price range, have a decent warranty, and are good for gaming. They are online at Dell.com. Their website is easy to use and they have great customer service. I have a Mac myself, but have many friends who've bought from Dell and they were very satisfied.

Unfortunatly if you go to a reail store they are going to try to sell you a big prsseor and all this other jusnk you do not need. the best thing to do is buy your own pc parts and install them your self. YTou can use your existing tower and just install every thing yourself. When you buy a motherboard make sure itf compatible with the prossor and ram that you want. your mother board will come with a book that tells you everything about it and where everything else go into it. this is the same as well for all the other parts you may want to install for your pc.. I garentee that buy the time you get done building your own pc you will never want to buy a pc again. and you will have spent less that buying one.

Build a desktop computer by yourself or get a friend to help you assemble the parts. You can get much more for those money than from Dell or other similar companies (well, no support and assembly warranty, but you can always get back here to ask, of course).
