halo 3 energy sword question?
hey i was playing halo 3 online and i was getting kills with the energy sword on people and it only took one hit
but this other guy i had to hit him like 2 or three times for him to die
was he cheating becasue i thought the energy sword was a one hit kill weapon
and yes i was hitting him directly
no he did not have over shield
also when i was shooting at him it was taking a really long time for him to die and he did not even take cover
he also died 3 seconds after i killed him
Update:non of the other games i played online had a lag problem

you can't cheat that way
If the sword had charge and you actually hit him, then yes he was hacking. However, the fact that he took so long to die after you killed him also opens the possibility of lag from one of you (almost certainly you). How was your connection at the time? Do you lag often or occasionally? If lag is not a problem, then the guy was almost certainly cheating.
If I had to guess, He had a BAD connection, My wife and I were playing last night, and I was swinging my sword at some guy over and over and he did not die, and then all of a sudden he would appear somewhere else and would just drop dead..lol, but that is probably the problem...good luck!
he's a haxor. boot and report. the energy sword is a 1-shot and if he did not have oversheild or the game rules stated that you had regular sheilds. then he haxed.
Probably a bad connection.
he could be a game hacker....oh yeah you can reflect rockets with the gravity hammer!!!
