I celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah. This year due to the recession, my parents have decided to get me one big gift. I can have anything I want as long as its reasonable. My parents want my idea in the next few weeks and I'm stumped. I don't know what to get I'm fortunate enough to have many things such as:
computer
television
cell phone
lots of clothes
my own bedroom
straightener
books
bike
roller blades
ipod (even though its not that good)
wii
my cats (yes real)
Yeah I have a lot and I'm fortunate for that. I just don't know what to get. My parents insist on getting me something due to my hard work in school. Help me please!
btw- I am almost 15 years old

If your mother is Jewish, you are Jewish and you shouldn't be celebrating Christmas. The stories about a man-god or a god with human form goes against the most basic concept of Judaism, the belief in one God. In that case I would suggest asking for some books on Judaism so you can learn more about your religion.
If you're mother isn't Jewish then you aren't Jewish either. In that case you should ask for some books on both Christianity and Judaism so you can decide what religion is best for you, or perhaps you might want to be an atheist. If you want to become Jewish you would have to convert, but I'm not suggesting you do that. Judaism and Christianity have contradictory beliefs, and it is impossible to believe in both religions.
you should ask for a better ipod. at apple they do free engravings on the back that look really kool. also, you might want to look into a digital camera. id suggest a canon. you could ask for a gift card to your favorite store, or, just go browsing on the web (thats how i found most of my list). hope i helped!
***dart i am shocked at your disrespect to Jews everywhere.***
Hanukkah, being an unimportant festival, maybe you should ask for a conscience or a soul.
Rather than tons of ridiculously expensive presents that you don't really need.
Fruit basket/ nut sequence. maximum great supermarkets the two make up their own at trip time or carry them from their produce corporation. something canned or packaged might desire to be categorized with a kosher image ("U" in a circle is a client-friendly one).
Have your parents get you a new jacket or a CD/Book you've been eyeing
Or have them sponsor a cause you care about for a few months
Happy holidays!
