When I was younger I used to go to Payless to buy shoes I didn't wear often (like evening shoes or sandals). I always found things that were affordable and attractive. I've noticed that over the past couple of years their shoes have gotten uglier and their prices have increased. Anyone else feel the same way?

I totally agree. The quality has gotten worse and there has been a great increase in their prices. I bought a pair of running shoes from Payless just last month and they have already begun to fall apart from the seams. I can't seem to find what I am looking for when I shop there.

I notice quite an increase in their prices recently and some of their shoes seem to be of a better quality and they are now carrying some name brands like American Eagle.

I like many of their shoes, but have a hard time finding exactly what I want. They offer a lot of color and more “funky” or youthful styles but their more practical styles are not as pretty as they used to be. I found a lot of Summer styles this year but paying almost $20 for itty bitty sandals is a bit much.
