Clean yourself up, but do it for yourself.

Confidence is perceptual more than physical, when in social situations remind yourself that you don't care about the outcome because you'll continue to improve yourself and move forward, life is about moving forward and confidence is simply knowing that you can move forward, outside of that nothing else matters.

Consider joining a gym or something similar to help with physical confidence.
