I have to make up for being a lazy, Y!A addicted slob for the past winter, so I gotta start getting active again. But it's so easy for me to get bored. I usually focus on cardio for a majority of my time and than I do some lifting to balance it out...if that makes any sense. :P But I'm starting to get bored of it, and it's worrying me a lot.
How do you stay committed to these sorts of things without breaking it?

Well you could include olympic lifts too (i.e. snatch, power clean, clean and jerk etc.)
You could also varry your lifts, like instead of a bar bench do a dumbell bench. Instead of regular squats you could do front squats or bulgarian squats (one legged) and do bar curls instead of dumbell curls, etc. The list goes on, just confuse your body.
You could also alter your sets and weight. Like on bench press I have some days where I do 3 sets of 10, sometime I do 3 sets of 5 reps, and once in a while i'll max out.
Doing this has been fun for me.
