Since I got my laptop a couple of months ago I've been wondering if there's something wrong with the display. This is my first laptop, so I'm not sure what to expect.
It's a Dell Inspiron 1300.
The problem is, the dark areas on the display take on a "negative image" look if you view the screen from even the slightest angle. Is this normal for laptops?

yes this is how laptop screens are. unfortanly you can't do anything about this my advice is to jsut get used to it or get a desktop which are better than laptop
Yes, it is going to be a little dark whenever you aren't looking directly at it. There are some laptops out there that do a better job of preventing this compared to the 1300. For now though you will need to just get used to it. Before too long you probably won't even notice it.
Look if its a bright view then for better picture quality you need to sit in exact 180 deg in the direction form laptop screen...
Yes, unfortunatley. If your not looking your csreen dead on whatever your looking will turn gray or discolour. If your looking at your screen form an extreme angle it will be almost like looking at a negattive. But it shouldnt do this with just a slight turn of the head or anything.
