Ok, everyone keeps talking about how much better Chuck has gotten since the last time they met. Is it fair to say that Rampage hasn't? I mean the only losses that he has since beating Chuck were against some pretty tough guys that I'm not sure that Chuck could hang with.(Silva and Rua) Besides, they fought in 2003, and Chuck wasnt new, he had been fighting since 98 with only 2 losses before they met, after lossing to Randy he went to Pride, won one fight then got destroyed by Rampage and went back to UFC. Also, I've never seen Rampage hurt by a punch, but he has been destroyed by knees in a Thai clinch. That is completely understandable, look what Silva did to Franklin. Since I've never seen Chuck use a Thai clinch, what does he have in his arsenal that he didn't have the first time they fought? Chuck says he will knock him out and move on to better fights, I think he needs to focus on the one he has coming as the best fight of his career.

I tihnk Rampage is goign to win again. Your points are 100% true. I think Rampage can take a punch and as we know Lidell kinda depends on striking. I think Rampage will win by knockout in the rematch. Rampage has been fighting grown men since he was 14 years old, so you know he has to be able to take a punch. I think Chuck is a little over confident for this fight, the guy has been on a streak but all streaks have to come to an end. Rampage is just such a beat in the ring/octagon and May 26 he will be the new champ.
The Iceman has gotten better and it should be a better fight then the first. I do not know who will win, but because of the first match I would say Rampage has to be a slight favorite. I think the cage may play a factor also, when Rampage picks Liddell up for a slam and Chuck reaches for that fence to stay up, the amount of time Big John McCarthy lets Chuck hold that fence for could be crucial. In Japan the ref knocked Chucks hand off the ropes fast, but in the Ufc, Chuck is the man and if he can hold that fence a couple seconds more, than that could be enough to keep the fight on it's feet. Plus because Chuck is the UFC champ I also think they will be quick to stand the fight up if it stalls on the ground. If these things happen, advantage Liddell.
The whole Liddell/Rampage II situation is very cloudy at best. First off Chuck is coming off of an pneumonia so he's not really at 100% & Rampage wanted one more tune-up fight before even thinking about Chuck Liddell, obviously that didn't happen. Rampage got destroyed by Wanderlei & Shogun from knee strikes, something Liddell for a kickboxer doesn't use alot of. It's debatable at best if Liddell can even hang with those guys let alone beat them, Chute Boxe has in my opinion the very best MMA fight team in the business.
There's too much hype around Rampage's chance, an Iceman will knock him out early on. Why? Rampage is too confident/born-again/ approaching Chuck is like playing Russian roulette with 90% of the chamber full, try taking him down without getting your brains rattled/ people like to think it's easy/ you wont get lucky many times
Actually Chuck was in PRIDE for a long time, and not once did Silva, or PRIDE want to fight him, because they were scared of Iceman owning their belt instead of their eye-liner axe killer. So dont pretend Chuck couldn't hang with anyone. Why don't we just accept that Iceman is pound for pound the most dangerous MMA fighter on the planet because its likely true/ getting highlight KOed equals more dangerous than getting picked up like WWF wrestling or man-groped on the ground.
both fighters have grown and gone through alot of ordeals in their careers, jacksons quest with silva and liddells quest with couture. theyve both come a long way and i think this match will be the war we are waiting for. i think chuck has gotten sloppier tho and quinton has gotten better form these days so that could be a deciding factor along with their stamina, havent seen liddell fight more than 3 rounds in the last few years. chuck has a huge challenge in rampage while i also think rampage needed (and wanted) more time to mentally prepare himself, but the ufc wants it now and the fans aren't complaining. cant wait to see it!
Chuck has improved the most, he's gonna knock Rampage out early. Rampage will be surprised on how hard Chuck hits.
I agree. Rampage completely overpowered Chuck in their first meeting. Chuck's striking was totally ineffective--Jackson waded right through his punches. I haven't seen anything that makes me think the outcome will be different the second time around.
Vanderlei silva killed rampage< tito raped silva and belfort<belfort beat vanderlei in 43 seconds<lidell killed tito and belfort.
who's gonna win i don't now but i don't think last fight is a reference.
