My computer won't recognise Cds...grrrr?
I have the latest itunes and windows media (on a windows xp laptop) but there are certain CDs that REFUSE TO BE READ! It just will not recognise that there is a Cd in there! Sometimes the little disc symbol comes up next to the mouse, but i can't import the songs i want....it's really dissapointing, I'm not paying for them again just so they can be on my ipod...

It sounds like the lens needs a clean.
Open the CD draw and you will see a small round lens.
VERY gently clean the lens with a cotton bud moistened with clean water. Not wet just slightly damp. Dry the lens with the other end of the cotton bud wait 1 minute to completely dry and give it another go with a CD it didn't recognise before.
