I am trying to set up my nintendo 64 to our tv, but its a newer tv and so it makes it more complicated. I plugged in everything correctly (power, tv input thing is in) and i set the channel to 3 (4 will work too!) but i dont know how to get to the game itself. I have 9 input settings on the remote, 1(is not working) 2 3(is not working) 4 5 6 7 8 and 9. Ive tried them all but i cant seem to get it to work. I have time warner cable and a Sharp "Aquos" tv. help?

You have to have a game in the 64 for it to turn on. And if you are SURE that everything is hooked up right, and it doesn't work with the game in, the game might be broken. Or, just get about and inch away from the bottom of the game and blow hard so all the dust will come out.
If youre using the multi AV out (red, white, yellow cables), you have to put the tv on video mode.
you probably have to switch to video mode or something through your remote
