I'm only in high school; however college is fast approaching and I'm beginning to decide upon majors. Well, first and foremost, I've decided to become an attorney, and I'm considering a major in political science or legal studies to aid me in my studies later at law school. I plan to attend UC Berkeley, if any students who've declared a major political science or law & legal studies students have any advice regarding those majors, please I need assistance deciding between the two.

Hey Diego,
Between those two, PoliSci, without a doubt. Any of the 'law', 'legal studies', or similar majors are not looked upon very positively by law schools. They're seen as 'law school lite', and a lot of times they lead you to develop bad habits with respect to reading legal documents that law school will have to break you of. Also, the students tend to head to law school thinking they have a leg up, which causes them to do worse on the exams. They're also seen as less rigorous.
PoliSci, on the other hand, is a well respected major that sends many, many students to law school. Stick with that, keep your GPA up, and do well on the LSAT, and you'll be golden.
Good luck!
both but i suggest law and legal first so u kno whats goin on, then political science to make u better
