For an assignment in a legislative course I'm taking I have to "pretend" i'm a senator in the state of Colorado, identify a problem that affects all (or most) citizens, and come up with some legislation and explain how said legislation would affect change.
However, I'm from Illinois and am unfamiliar with any statewide problems in Colorado. Could anyone fill me in?

Focus on illegal immigration. We have a Democratic Senator Salazar that is pro-amnesty and tries to make Colorado a "sanctuary" state.
I have a sister in Colorado and she tells me illegal immigration is a huge problem.
Damn hills are to high!~! Legislate them away!~!
