I live in San Diego, but am not sure which Tapas restaurant is the best. It is my 21st birthday, so I would like the place to be nice and preferably down town :)
I like Cafe Sevilla in the Gaslamp District at 4th. The empanada barcelona is to die for. It has salmon mousse, pine nuts, shrimp, and raisins in a puff pastry. Ooooohhh so good. My favorite tapa there. And the paella is sooooo good. Parking is sometimes tough, but I think it's well worth it for the food. It can also get kinda noisy sometimes from the live music, but since you're young it might not bother you. If you're in the mood for live music and maybe a salsa lesson (my salsa teacher dances there), Cafe Sevilla could also be fun. Doesn't hurt that it's close to the clubs too, for after dinner! Check it out for the food, though. I hope you'll like it as much as I do.
