If we invent time travel now in 2012 wouldn't it be best to send back(at least 50 years) all the current dictionaries, findings, technologies, and even some smart men and women and then some body guards because I would imagine the people in 1962 would be at least a little a little aggressive and maybe try to capture the people. But once our points are clear it would be ok; the point being instead of the newest tech like amazing satellites and night vision goggles being 'new' in the 20th century they would be nothing by the new 20th century and the tech in the new 20th century would be even more amazing than it was before we time travelled. Presumably we could continue this process so eventually all problems would be solved by 2020 because all we did was sen back tech and wait until we were advanced an do it again

Well, backwards time travel hasn't been proven impossible yet. In fact, many physicists are open to the idea, although unlikely. But trust me when I say if it's possible we're currently nowhere near accomplishing it. And if we did we likely wouldnt change anything about the past at all. So no we likely wouldn't send people back with information.
The our current knowledge of physics it seems only possible to travel foward in time rather than backward, and even so that is decided by how each individual experiences time with the bodies of mass around them.
