I have a MSI 870A-G54 Motherboard with an AMD Phenom II Black Edition 3.2ghz (1090T).
I also have a NVIDIA 680i SLI Motherboard with an Intel Core 2 Quad 3.0ghz (Q9650).
I need advice on which will be better for gaming, overclocked etc.
The video Card I have is a XFX Radeon HD 6950 2ghz, like 16gb ddr3 ram, and a PSU that can support both builds. I need to know which will be faster for gaming. Please help, here are the links for the hardware.

Passmark CPU benchmark ratings lists the intel Q9650 at #17 in common CPU's
Passmark CPU benchmark ratings lists the AMD 1090T at #11 in common CPU's
Personally I find that at similar performance ratings that the intel CPU is less likely
to suddenly DIE for no obvious reason.
I wish I could say the same about AMD cpu's but quite simply I cannot.
My personal desktop, the one I''m sending this reply from is a factory Built HP
with a Q9450 it's fast and it's stable and to build anything even incrementally
better would cost dearly.
