Can I use a Windows 7 Upgrade disc to install windows on parallels desktop?
I have a mac and my University offers Parallels for free and a windows 7 upgrade disc for free, but not just a normal windows 7 disc. How can I install windows os on parallels desktop with just an OS upgrade?

An upgrade will ONLY work if you have an existing version of Windows.
e.g. Vista or XP - already installed.
You will need either an OEM disc, or the more expensive Retail edition.
Sources: Amazon, Tiger Direct or Best Buy.
I don't believe you can install a full operating system with only an upgrade disk but parralel does allow you to migrate windows from let's say a laptop onto your Mac I'm not sure
