compaq Presario disc?
I purchased a used compaq presario 2500 laptop from a seller on ebay and I don't have the password to unlock it. How do I hack the password? Do I need to purchase an original disc that came with the system? Please let me know how I can obtain this password or what I need to do.

Good luck trying to get the disk from HP. the only way you can get around it is to format your drive, and reinstall windows
The best would be to contact the seller to see if he knows the password, if not yes buy the recovery disk if possible. You would have all the the drivers needed for the computer. You could buy a copy of windows and redo the computer that way but might not have the drivers for the ethernet controller or modem.
