My compaq presario f700 isnt turning on. When I press the power button the blue light comes on but theres no display on the screen. I can hear the fan loud for about 30 seconds and then it quiets down. I tried turning it off and on. Nothing. if it worked fine before, I would just remove/reset laptop battery first before messing with memory. if it still dosent boot, after the reset, check power and hard drive and ram.assuming the partition isnt hosed, you should be able to work from the brick/power adapter without the battery.
