okay so in my computer i want to put a graphics card, but the graphics card i want to put int needs two 6pin, now i only have 1x6pin and 2x4pin one 4 pin is powering the motherboard. so all i have is 1x4pin and 1x6pin but i know you can get two molex and get an adapter as long as the molex are on separate rails, and of course i only have one rail of molex so i was wondering is there an adapter or is it safe for me to hardwire my molex and spare 4pin together to make a 6pin or would this damage my graphics card?
Update:well it's 720 watt and i've got a gtx260

The wattage of your power supply is the most important consideration. You can adapt from Molex to 6 pin PCI-E if necessary. i will say that the quickest way to ruin a perfectly good video card is by starving it for power.
