Cross Country Travel?
I am going to go on a cross country trip from the east coast to the west coast and back again all in my car. What are some things that you think I would need to bring along with me on my trip? (I know a lot of answers might repeat themselves, but that is fine, just looking for additional ideas)

I have done that 3 times. I found helpful: a really good US map book & (triple) AAA guides for hotels, other guide book for things to see; a pillow, a cooler for drinks & snacks, music, wet wipes, zip lock baggies in different sizes, roll paper towels, bug stuff (for you), some trash bags & duct tape (lots of uses for this stuff); small fold up umbrella, computer to stay in touch, 2 medium sized flat-packed cardboard boxes, small note book and pens, I also took an old sheet (some of those road side hotels were, er, icky); soap, swim suit, sun block, hand sanitizer, roll TP (road stops are often out).
