Cursor on laptop frozen?

I have a dell inspiron with vista that's just under two years old and the cursor wont move and I can't figure out why. I also don't have a usb mouse to use to try and fix it. Does anyone know another way?

You probably have a virus. But if that's not the case go to your computer's settings and check what the mouse settings are.
