Now that I'm retired, I've switched from the heavier Corelle dishes to lighter plastic dishes and bowls. No matter what brand of dishwash I use, I find it very, very hard to get any grease or oil off of the dishes. I've even put the dish wash right on my Dobie Pad; yet I still feel the grease on the plastic when they're dry. Any suggestions for degreasing as I do dishes every day? Amonia? Vinegar? Oh, and I have no dishwasher - never have.

Rinse plastic dishes in a sink full of warm water with VINEGAR to get rid of oil/grease residue. I don't think it matters if you do it before or after the soap wash but I would try it before just to be safe.
Plastic Degreaser
I have had the same problem, switched to Dawn concentrate and it works really good.
