low carb food plans like South Beach phase 2, Atkins phase 2 or 3, Dr Sears diet without the supplements, are all good for people like you and my sis!!
eat frequently, so you never have highs or lows, highs are to normal, but can crash you really fast too.
eat about the same grams of carb at each meal or snack time. this prevents spiking and crashing.
do not have sweets, root veggies, soft sweet fruits, grains and cereals, most milk products or legumes. Keep these to a minimum or eat a set amount of them each meal. Your choice!!
I make open face sandwiches so I only have one serving of bread per meal!! You can stack as much protein and green leafy, tomato etc as you wish on it. I also use flour tortillas for roll ups!! other roll ups like my son makes for his lunch box: lettuce leaf and cabbage leaf instead of bread!!
I would have had a BLATE SANDWICH!! Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Tomato, Egg on one slice of bread! Somewhere around 40 grams of carb
