Hey
I'm quite new to apple Mac's and need a little help
I'm going to buy a new MacBook pro (mid-2012)
It's because i'm starting at a "Media" school, so that means i will do allot of Video editing (Adobe premiere pro, and after effects, cinema 4d, and so on, allot of heavy programs, maybe even AVID)
Photo editing (Photoshop cs6 extended mainly) and sound editing.
Now i can choose between three different Macbooks, all mid 2012
Macbook pro 13,3" 2.9GHz (i5 dual core) with 8GB 1600MHz ram, 750GB 5200RPM drive, intel HD4000 graphics
Macbook Pro 13,3" Retina 2.6GHz (i5 dual core) 8GB 1600MHz ram, 258GB flash drive, intel HD4000
Macbook pro 15" 2.3GHz (i7 Quad core) 4GB 1600MHz ram (I will probably buy more ram very soon after i buy it) 500GB 5200rpm drive, Nvidia GT650M 512MB GDDR5
The price does not really matter, but which one of these will edit and render full HD movies, high quality images and similar stuff the fastest and smoothest?
It would be nice if you friendly guys could make a list like 1,2,3 too!
Thank you for reading, and i hope you can help me out :)

For your needs, rendering and editing videos. Go for the 15 inch.
You will need a good video card and the GT650M will suit your needs.
I have the 13 inch and running editing software puts a big strain on it.
If moneys not a problem then go the 15" and add more RAM, though it might be a bit more of a pain to carry around after a long day due to extra weight, especially if you also buy an iPad
