I just read that the MLB extra inning baseball package, in a last minute agreement, will be available to cable subscribers for at leat the next 7 years starting immediately. I called my provider, Comcast, and they told me they should have the final details worked out in just a few days. Does anybody have any more info on this? Also, does anybody know if extra innings will ever be broadcast on HD channels?

Here is an article from the AP. If its not the one you already read, there should be some good info in there.

No cable does not have the rights anymore now that Direct TV bought all the rights to be the only satallite or cable to show it.
Thats great news! I was going to get it this year but was upset when my cable didn't offer it.
This was great news to hear, as far as your HD goes. i believe that depends on the team channel. the YES network ( for yankee games) broadcasts in hd. if you have comast hd box you should get it!
