The museums and National Gallery are free to get in, and there's always so much going on, concerts etc, and a lot of free events in the parks in Summer.

Get a boat up the river (from next to the London Eye) and get off at the Tower of London where the Crown Jewels are.

And the shopping... Have you discovered Top Shop in Oxford Circus? I could stay in there all day....

You will meet hundreds of people your own age through university. Meeting people from the internet is very dangerous even for a 20 year old. You will know nothing about these people. Stick to Uni friends you know who that are and they will have much more in common with you than anyone who mails you.
