Does getting the Questbridge Prep Scholarship for Juniors look great on college applications? I recently got it and i got a telmentor from Amherst College and all paid visit campus over the summer. I want to apply for a top school but want to know if this will help me.
Update:Hey Nancy, I am in a lot of leadership position. I started the Game Club and Glee Club. Both preidents. I'm also the Vice President of CSF, in ASB, and Vice president of my Avid Class. Found out I won Vice President of Key Clun for next Year and am in the schools Decathlon Team. I'm also on NHS and other various Clubs. Varsity Sports, and currently have a 4.0 with Ap and Honor Classes. Next year I will be in almost all leadership position for all my clubs. I have various awards but too many to name. I hope I'm on the right track.

Not sure how it works for in your area but the Universities in California for me have a spot on their application where you list special awards you've received on a local, state, and national level. Although for that area I mainly put things like how I made honor roll, I'm pretty sure you could list how you won this prestigious scholarship there (assuming your college apps have a section for it). Although I would only put well known scholarships down, as it looks more admirable to win a big scholarship opposed to a little one.
And just a side note, you'll want to beef up your application with extracurricular. Being a president of a club/starting one shows lots of great leadership! Also make sure you write a unique essay that will set you apart from other applicants. I know friends that had well, alright GPAs but made it into a top notch school thanks to their essay.
