Let's do our own primary election. Rank these Republican candidates for President in 2016, from 1 (best) to 19 (worst). Based on everyone's answers, I'll narrow it to three choices (reflecting the Iowa caucus). Then based on everyone's relative rankings of those three choices, I'll narrow it to two choices (reflecting Super Tuesday). Then based on everyone's ranking of those two choices, I'll pick one winner. Anyone can answer, but please note whether you're an American, and whether you're a Republican.
Ben Carson - Neurosurgeon
Bobby Jindal - Governor of Louisiana
Carly Fiorina - Former Hewlett-Packard CEO
Chris Christie - Governor of New Jersey
Donald Trump - Real Estate Developer
George Pataki - Former Governor of New York
Jack Fellure - Engineer
Jeb Bush - Former Governor of Florida
Jim Gilmore - Former Governor of Virginia (announcement pending)
John Kasich - Governor of Ohio (announcement pending)
Lindsey Graham - Senator from South Carolina
Marco Rubio - Senator from Florida
Mark Everson - Former head of the IRS
Mike Huckabee - Former Governor of Arkansas
Rand Paul - Senator from Kentucky
Rick Perry - Former Governor of Texas
Rick Santorum - Former Senator from Pennsylvania
Scott Walker - Governor of Wisconsin
Ted Cruz - Senator from Texas
Update:Interesting that nobody put Jeb Bush in their top 3 (except one guy, whose votes I didn't count, since he's a liberal).
So then I rescored it for the top 4, and got:
32 Scott Walker
27 Ted Cruz
25 Marco Rubio
23 Rand Paul
So then I rescored it for the top 3 (now only 2 points for a #1 pick), and got:
21 Scott Walker
16 Ted Cruz
15 Marco Rubio
So then I rescored it for the top 2 (now only 1 point for a #1 pick), and got:
11 Scott Walker
7 Ted Cruz
Walker wins!

I will give them all a 19, with exception to Mr Fellure, who will get an incomplete. I know little to nothing about him.
All the rest are war-mongering Koch suckers.

I'm just going to copy my answer from a different question that was asking something similar, except it was phrased, which of these would be your top pick and why.
They're all pretty much the same, except Trump, but in a bad way. Trump would probably be last on my list. He's way too out of touch with the middle class. The only reason he's leading right now is because he's loud and he's the flavor of the week. El Chapo's death threat definitely helped, and Trump knew that when he sent out all those tweets. I don't know how anyone can trust Trump, a guy who's filed for bankruptcy 8 times just to avoid paying off his debts. Seriously, this man has absolutely no integrity. He just wants the presidency to get more rich and look cool in front of the "good ol' boys" club. At heart, Trump is an emotivist who appeals to other emotivists. Emotivism is a form of logic (the dumbest form of logic) where you attach either a Yay or a Boo to certain words. So puppies - Yay. Terrorists - Boo. Get how that works? Trump doesn't really have any policies. His entire position is based on emotivism. So illegal Mexicans - Boo, Liberals - Boo, etc. etc. Trump takes advantage of how things look on the surface and hopes that no one will investigate enough to understand what is really going on. And if you look at the people who like Trump, their reasons for liking Trump are extremely shallow. Things like - "he's not afraid to speak his mind" and "he's rich enough not be bought." Just because he's not afraid to speak his mind doesn't mean he's going to say the right things. You want a president who says the right things. Not being politically correct is not a virtue in and of itself. And just because he's rich doesn't mean he doesn't want to be more rich. If that were true, no one would be pushing for tax cuts for the rich. And Trump only got rich because he whored himself out over and over and over again.
Actually, I take that back, I think Bobby Jindal would be last on my list even after Trump. Trump is an emotivist, but Jindal is just a weasel. Jindal is a stats man. His entire term as governor of Lousiana was just so he can pull out certain numbers when he runs for president. But the truth of the matter is that everyone in Louisiana hates Jindal. It's the only state in America that taxes the rich less than it taxes the middle class. All this for a statistic. This should show you what kind of man Bobby Jindal is. He can't be trusted.
Perry is simply too stupid to become president. But I guess some may see that as a good thing. It will be like having no president, which is basically how he governed Texas. He just did whatever his advisers told him to do. He's just a figurehead. That's his appeal, I suppose. I met him one time actually because I went to college in Texas. I think the man might literally be mentally retarded. He barely graduated from Texas A&M (a decent but unspectacular school) with a 2.0 out of 5.0 GPA, and was a male cheerleader. I don't want you to just take whatever I say as gospel. Feel free to do your own research. But I think that sums up Perry pretty well.
I like some of the stuff that Chris Christie has done. I definitely think he's the most bipartisan of all of those guys. (It use to be Rand Paul, but I'll get to that in a bit) but he has no chance at winning, basically because he's fat. Just like Ron Paul had no chance because he was old and Libertarian, Christie will be judged the same way, unfortunately. That's just how Americans think.
Marco Rubio. I don't know much about him, but I know he was leader of the Tea Party right? Well, I'm not a big fan of the tea party, and I haven't heard anything else about him. So I don't think he will get my vote. Same with Rick Santorum. I haven't heard much about him. But I remember he was in the news a few years back for something bad. I can't put my finger on it. Same with Scott Walker. I don't know much about him. He's the college drop-out right? People are saying good things about him. But I think this is the halo effect politicians get when they haven't been in the limelight long. The same thing happened with Obama. I see Scott Walker as the next Paul Ryan. Someone who will get 15 seconds of fame and quickly disappear from everyone's memory because other than being a college drop-out and getting money from the Koch family, there's nothing interesting about him. But I suppose he'd appeal to people who are anti-intellectual, which make up a small portion of the Republican base. If any of these guys are finalists, I'll have to look more into their background.
That leaves Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. Those will probably be your finalists, in my opinion. And ironically, they are all basically the same person. There is literally no major differences between any of them. I guess if you want to nitpick, Cruz has the best education of the three. Bush has been in the limelight for a long time now and hasn't done anything terribly stupid. He's much smarter than GW, but GW really did a number on this country (Perry is a lot like Bush actually), and it's unfortunate for Jeb, but I don't know if I will ever be able to trust another Bush again. So it's down to Cruz and Paul.
The thing about Paul that I hate is that he simply doesn't have any balls. Whereas his father's stance has always been - Here's how our party (the Republican party) is wrong. And here's how we can fix our ideals to conform to the needs of the American people. Rand Paul's stance has always been - Hey you, non-Republicans, here's why you should conform to our ideals. Personally, I respect Ron Paul's approach a lot more because it shows he actually cares about the American people.
Rand's only draw is that he looks young and he appeals to a different demographic than typical Republicans. So what is the point of Rand Paul other than to bring in his father's loyal demographic of Libertarians? The core of the Libertarian belief system is that government should not be regulating every aspect of American life. This includes things like Abortion, Stem Cell Research, Gay Marriage, Legalization of Marijuana. Year after year, Ron Paul never let go of his beliefs on any of those issues because he truly believed Americans shouldn't be regulated beyond what is necessary. Meanwhile, Rand Paul spared no time conforming completely to Republican idealogy. Republicans believe Americans should be regulated. But only the stuff they care about should be regulated. So ban abortion, stop stem cell research, ban gay marriage, and make pot illegal, because we don't like those things. But hey, don't take away our guns, don't tax the rich, say no to Affirmative Action.
The reasons why Republicans like Rand Paul is because they think he could be the face of fiscal conservativism, the only thing Libertarians have in common with Republicans. Why? Because Republicans have no idea how to make fiscal conservativism work. Libertarians do know how to make fiscal conservativism work, because they actually care about the economy, and are not just trying to come up with an excuse to save rich people more money on taxes. Whenever they are stuck, Republicans just cut taxes or degregulate randomly. It reminds me of how when I worked as a car salesman one summer and every time our rival stores beat us in sales, our store manager would close his eyes and randomly pick a sales manager to fire. Republicans know that doesn't work, so they're looking for someone with new ideas. That's why they brought in a Libertarian. But the truth of the matter is I honestly don't think Rand Paul knows what he's doing either, as his ideas sound exactly like what every other Republican has been preaching for years. Our deficit skyrockets every time a Republican is in office. That's not rhetoric or some skewed statistic and I'm not a Democrat. That's cold hard facts. This is what's been happening for a long time. He||, just look at what happened to our economy in 2008 with all that deregulation. Does anyone seriously want that again? Ron Paul wanted to cut taxes too, but he was very specific with which taxes he would cut. He was one of the only politicians to ever oppose the Ethanol tax, a tax that is beloved by both the Left and the Right because both sides have been bought through corruption. Rand Paul is no different from a typical Republican, who is just a frontman for Wall Street investment bankers.
So I'm going to go with Cruz if I had to pick between those guys. I feel like he is somewhat moderate and won't go overboard with stupidity. I think he's smarter than most of the other candidates, and he's not completely devoid of integrity.
Edit: The other question didn't ask about Ben Carson. I don't have any problems with him at this point in time. My only concern is that his top priority is repealing ACA. And I feel like there are more important things to worry about than going back and forth on ACA every time our president changes parties. It's counter-intuitive.
