I need to upgrade my laptops cpu. i understand it is a tricky process but i really need to do it.

First off i'm using a windows 7 acer aspire 5517. My current processor is a AMD athlon x2 dual core processor l310 with 1.20ghz of cpu. i have 4 gigs of ram, and i'm running a 64 bit system.

My basic question is can i even upgrade my cpu? i've heard of it being done.

can my model of laptop be upgraded?

if so how would i do it?

what prossesors are compatible with my laptop?
