Nothing would make you feel sick the day after conception. It takes at least 2-3 weeks minimum before symptoms appear.
If you suspect you could be pregnant, then you shouldn't be drinking at all. The most critical time of development for a baby is in these earliest weeks before you even know you are pregnant, so stop drinking until you know you are not pregnant.
I don't know how long after conception alcohol will make you feel sick, but if you suspect that you are pregnant, and especially once you know you are, DO NOT DRINK! Alcohol can hurt your unborn baby in so many ways, causing mild to severe birth defects, and possibly even miscarriage. I am pregnant right now and do get the urge to drink, but I know it's the right thing to do to abstain from alcohol until after the baby is born.
I'm not really sure. I know when I was 3 weeks along I drank 1/2 a wine cooler and it made me feel ill and I found out 2 days later that I was pregnant.
People: The day after conception she would not even know she was pregnant. Lots of women drink before they find out they are pregnant and go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies.
I had a half a glass of wine when I was about 6 months pregnant. It didn't make me ill.
Oh, and it also didn't cause any kind of problem with the baby. He's still completely healthy and growing as he should be.
Hell, there are even some doctors who say a small amount of alcohol is ok during pregnancy. It's when you drink a full glass of wine (or more) every day that you're being stupid and risking your baby's health.
It does not necessarily make you sick. Some women drink during their entire pregnancy and do not get sick.
Unfortunately, it affects the fetus. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is serious. It is unusual too. As some babies are born normal or nearly normal, others have a whole host of medical, physical , and intellectual problems and abnomalities.
Of those born normal to near normal, they may have problems that are not diagnosed until later in life. It is a nasty, nasty thing to do to a baby. There is no "cure" for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
People who say out of hand that drinking while pregnant is bad haven't done the research. They haven't done any studies and even doctors disagree on whether or not and how much women can drink safely while pregnant. The idea is that they know none is safe so that's what they recommend.
To actually answer your question: Alcohol doesn't make you sick when pregnant, or at least I've never heard of it doing so.
Don't drink at all, when you DO find out you're pregnant.
Just after you have unprotected intercourse, and you plan going out that involves having a drink, don't get drunk off your butt! Maybe a glass of wine. But you should probably test to see if you did conceive after every time you have intercourse.
But when you're like pregnant for a month, don't do any. Because the baby could get addicted to it, and it also does have birth defects if you do drink OR smoke during pregnancy. Hope I helped.
well before i knew i was pregnant i went out for dinner one night (6 weeks after conception) and had a beer, and as soon as i had my first mouth full i was blind drunk, i couldn't feel my face, my partner had to carry me out because i was that much of a mess, and i was sick. this is all off one mouth full of beer. than 2 weeks later i found out i was pregnant. so it just depends on your body and how high your hcg levels are at the time. good luck
The doctors will tell you to avoid alcohol but in reality a couple of glasses a week is fine. What i used to do was fill my glass half way and then add ice to rest of glass so i didnt feel deprived. And then id drink it slowly.
Well, if a pregnant woman drinks alchol during the early embryonic development is the part when it affects the baby the most. If you are drinking and you breast feed your baby it is also not good for them. Drinking in general is bad for your liver, it will probably cause liver damages to your baby too.
