1. Remove the emblem by heating it up with a heatgun or hair dryer so that the glue behind it starts to melt. Put tape in a perfect rectangle or square around the emblem so you know exactly where to put your Evil M when you are done. Then use floss string and put it behind the emblem. Floss it off.
2. Once removed, clean the glue off the car using alcohol or windex and rubbing it hard with a cotton towel. Do not use Acetone(Nail Polish Remover). It will damage the paint on the car. It is too strong.
3. Also clean the glue off the back of the emblem as much as you can and buy new emblem glue. Ask Autozone or Pepboys for it.
4. Cut the emblem. I would use a hand saw with Very small teeth for a cleaner cut. Carefully wrap some painters tape or another thin tape around the areas you want to cut on the emblem. Make the marks with a pencil and start cutting. Be careful not to cut yourself.
5. Once finished. Take the tape off the emblem. Apply the glue. Put the emblem back in place using the tape you put on the car in Step 1 as a guide. Hold it in place for 15 seconds. Then remove tape on car and wait for it to dry for 15 minutes.
If you want the emblem to be black, go to Home Depot and buy a can of Plasti Dip. It is a $6 can of Flat Black Color Spray on Rubber. You literally spray the emblem and wait 20 minutes. Then it will be flat black in color. But the surface will be black rubber. You can easily peal it off later. Look up on youtube "Plasti Dip car" There are video's of people making their wheels black or their front grill black.
Try to do this in warmer weather for a better stick and dry. Good Luck.
Well, just use fishing line. They use a heavy Duty double-sided tape to put them on. You need to wiggle the fishing line between the tape and the car, and pull the emblem off. It will take about 5 minutes to finally get it off. You'll want to use primer and about 3 coats of paint, then finish it off with 3 coats of clear-coat since you don't want to have the paint chip off. When you put it back on, use 3M Double-sided tape, I haven't had a problem with mine and it's been a year.

See the link below. For some reason I personally don't like the evil M. I would love to put a classic Mazda badge on my 6s.
