My mom tripped at our apartment complex. she had to go to the hospital, and we found out she sprained her ancle. we are low on money, can we sue at least for the days my mom had to take off of work?
you would have to prove negligence of the owners of the complex. if your mother tripped due to her own clumsiness then she has nothing to sue for..... you didnt say anything about there being a crack or hole, or step in the concrete that caused her to trip.
just because you are low on money doesnt mean that you automatically get a pay day for your mothers actions......
No...why would you sue the complex just because she tripped and you're low on funds????? If this is a matter of negligence on their part you might have a leg to stand on but if not...forget it.
Yes but it will take awhile. I would take the hospital bill to the mgr of the complex and what your mom should b compensated for missing work but only if it was a fault of theirs. If it was ur moms fault, then id say no. Good luck n feel better mom!
PS...if they r rude or give u a hard time, just say ok and walk away. Then call an an attorney for personal injury. They will help you.
