I bought some yesterday for the first time based on the promise that it would make me look polished and better define my "look." (I'm weak, I know.) I look exactly the same with it as I do without it, and I'm wondering what all the fuss is about. I would be happy if it tamed the stray hairs that stick straight up, but it doesn't do that either. Do you use it, and if so, do you like it?

This is the first I've heard of eyebrow gel. LOL I guess I'm out of the beauty loop. Ha ha ha....
I have no clue to this one. I wish I could help you. You'd laugh if you saw me do my eyebrows!! I don't pluck mine, I take my razor and shave them into shape. LOL YES I do....for those of you who's mouths are hung open now...Ha ha ha....And yes I've made the mistake of shaving it all off, but they grew back. I am not talented enough to pluck my eyebrows. I can't seem to do it. I can't grab the hairs with the tweezers, so my solution, is to take the razor (Gillette disposable), and zip zip zip..and wha lah...LOL Then I use my eyeliner to color and shape them. It works for me.
Some have their eyebrows waxed. I'm too chicken for that. LOL My friend just had her eyebrows tattooed on. To me, it didn't look right.
Ok, I got off track a bit, but eyebrow gel? I'm starring your question in hopes there is someone out there who knows what this is and its benefits, or can give you some advice on what else you can do.
Ta ta for now...take care! :-)
PS: Don't you hate it when people use Y/A to market their company? I just read one of your answers, and to me, they could have given a more personable response instead of sounding like an infomercial. LOL
Different products do different things.
gel will keep in place, but it may separate the hairs or it will make the hairs feel crunchy.
If you want a more natural look with control and a little boldness, you can use a clear wax/ color powder combo. - that is what I use.
Pencil will just really add color, not controlling the hair in place.
One thing I do recommend is when you go to the store, have them put it on and then wear it for the day and see how you like how it works, then go back to the store and buy the product. Makeup is a personal things and it can be very costly- so do it wisely.
Good luck!
I have had so much trouble finding good products for eyebrows... I eventually gave up and started just having them dyed when I get my hair done. Regular waxing and plucking is important of course, and if you need to fill them in a little (this is gonna sound weird) use eyeshadow. I like Merle Norman's eyeshadows best because you can take a shower or even go swimming in them and they stay put. i use an eyeshadow brush to lightly apply the eyeshadow to my eyebrows, and then (this may sound even weirder...) put a little bit of hairspray on them before brushing them. This holds the color on, and keeps them the way you want them shaped throughout the day.
i have a clear brow gel, which i never use. the only times i have used it is when i'm going to a dance or something and i don't want my eye brow hairs to move.
i use eyebrow gel and its the clear kind.
the person who did my eyebrows gave it to me
i LOVE it, it makes my eyebrows stay in shape and look better.
i use a clear mascara, and that doubles as a ibrow controller
