I am posting this question for my husband. His 48 HP Kubota tractor has a bent push rod. He has removed all of the push rods from the tractor, but is unable to tell which one is bent. How can he go about finding out which push rod is bent? Is there a machine that a diesel tractor mechanic can use to find out which rod is bent??? Thankyou for any help you can give!!!

How did he determine a pushrod was bent in the first place?
If a pushrod is bent, it can be seen visually by spinning it between your fingers and watching for a wobble between your fingers. You may also see it if you compare it against a straightedge which it is placed at different positions around the pushrod.
Or, you may see unusual wear marks down the shaft of the pushrod.
If one IS bent, there would also need to be a CAUSE.
