It could go either way. It's so close to the time for you to start your period that it could easily be premenstrual symptoms, or it could be early signs of pregnancy. If you are supposed to start on the 3rd or 4th, then you could test now for pregnancy using a very sensitive test like Ept's First Response or Clear Blue Easy. Both of these tests are made to predict pregnancy up to 5 days before your missed period. They work too! I found out that I was pregnant twice using a First Response test--before I ever even missed my period!
