I can't figure out this game. I just did the tutorial and I am trying to do stuff but it won't let me press any of the buttons except the decoration button. I don't get what to do

I've never played the game before, but you're in the TUTORIAL. Usually in games like these you do what the directions say. apparently place a few decorations, then it will move on to show you how to do something else until you're able to have free rein
