dont go all crap talk about how alienware is overpriced and such. I am aware that companies price things higher cause they need to make a living and im not willing to spend time on getting the parts and building it myself. Im saying is it a high performance pc for video, editing, web broswing, gaming, and recording, im willing to spend my money as i choose

They are good, but they are indeed overpriced. The quality is still decent with Alienware computers, although some argue that it had dipped slightly since Dell took over the company and production.
You can still configure a very nice Alienware gaming computer from their web-site, but I hope you have about $3000-4000 to lay down on one.
I would avoid the new slimline X-51 rigs, and stick with a Aurora. I put together a decent rig with a i7 3930k and SLI'ed GTX 680s and it came to over $4000.

specific, yet in my view the perfect computing device for the money is a Dell Precision T3500 from the Dell Outlet. that's a refurbished gadget that has a Quad Xeon Processor with 8 threads, the perfect factors obtainable, and a three twelve months guarantee. many times they choose for decrease than $1000. the money you save would be used for a sturdy statechronic and a killer video card. wish this helps!
