I would suggest that you apply to NYU for your final two years of college if you think you cannot get in as a high school student. So basically spend your freshman and sophomore years at your current university and spend your final two years at NYU but I am confused why you would want to go to NYU.

I have nothing against NYU but it is such a bad deal, it offers little to no financial aid, most financial aid is in terms of loans, best majors are in the arts and drama but in this economy no one is going to waste money on those majors, and overall it is only good for its grad programs. I would not pick it as a university to do my undergraduate at, also it doesn't encourage a strong sense of social life as it is so spread out and overall I would ask you to think twice before you decide to go there, I have known many people that are miserable there.
