ok so basically my desktop is screwed up last night it was working but now all the icons are missing and the start menu bar at the bottom is gone too!!

the only way i can get on stuff is if i turn off the computer start it back up and while its starting up click on the icon i need to go to then they all disappear!

what could this mean?

i did upload skype and AIM the other week could that be it?

PLEASE HELP ME!
