cool i used to have long hair also. u should add some wave to it or may be just get some bangs, they add a lot to a new look.

also may be low pony tails or take to strads of your hair on both side of your head and clip them in the back:D

or, because you have thin hair, hot rollers work way better than curling irons. i use rollers alot, they work great. conair is the best with rollers! & you only have to leave them in for 10 minutes!(:
