I saw a couple clips of a George Lopez episode and got interested and wanted to watch the whole thing... But I can not remember the episode name. Here are some details:

George's wife angie takes money from Benny his mother (in a FLASH back)

His wife admits to him that her and his mother had been lying to him.

Also

George at the very end writes his mother a check for $1000.00 but only while she says that she would have missed him if he would have moved to florida...
