Do you remove the hair in your private area? If so what age did you start doing it? I'm 13 and I plan on staying a virgin until I'm married, but I think shaving may be a good idea for swimming and stuff. One of my close friends just did it. Should I?

Well, 13 may be a little young to start shaving, but there isn't anything wrong with shaving that area. :) It would be a good idea to shave it if you're going swimming or something because sometimes it does get a little embarrassing to have that hair show.
You should only do it if you're comfortable with it, don't do it because all the other girls are doing it.
And if you haven't done this before, consider asking your mom or and elder female for assistance. :)
Shaving your under-arms and genitals is a great idea for both boys and girls. There are a lot of people saying crap about it being bad for this reason or that but it is all a bunch of old wives tales. If you want to shave, more power to you! I used to own a laser hair removal business and personally lasered the hair off of quite a few girls and they never had any problems from it. The reason I personally hate the hair is a matter of sanitation. Hair is porous (full of holes) and it traps body fluids and bacteria. I don't care how "clean" you are, once you reach adulthood, if you keep hair in those places you WILL have odor. No amount of showers, baths, or deodorant can get rid of all the smell as long as you have hair in those places.
I'm a guy and I shave my armpits, genitals, and my butt-crack. It just makes good since.
If you want it gone, do it!
It's a personal choice, really. But for swimming, I probably would.
You don't have to remove all of it. Definately shave your "bikini line", meaning the hairs that will poke out around your bathing suit bottom. Trim the rest of the hair quite short. You can shave it all, but if you do, make sure to use a non-scented, gentle shave gel or cream and be gentle--it's easy to get ingrown hairs there or to cause it to be irritated.

well... its up to you.. if you think that you feel comfortable with doing that then feel free.. but if you think its not right or its unnecessary then dont.. besides just as you said ur still a virgin.. just do it when your ready.. :)
