Well I've been playing guitar for about 2 yrs. or so and I have a Fender Strat, an Epiphone Special II, and acoustic. I wasn't really playing my Les Paul until the begining of Christmas Break because we all took our instruments home from Jazz Band. Since that guitar was at school I wasn't playing it a whole lot like I do at home with my Strat. But I started to play it and realized that the Les Paul sounds better with my amp and it has 22 frets instead of 21. The only thing that is wrong with it is it doesn't have a whammy bar and its kinda hard to tune and stuff. But I love the humbucker sound. Should I just get my strat with humbuckers or Seymour Duncan P-Rails or try to find a guitar that plays and sounds like a Les Paul with a whammy bar?
PS If you guys know a guitar that sounds like a Les Paul but has a whammy bar or more frets please mention them.

Slap new pickups in your Strat. I don't know why you find the Les Paul harder to tune, I would expect the Strat to be the one with the issues. Whammy bars tend to throw a guitar out of tune pretty fast. Try taking both in to a music store and have them intonated / setup. That will make sure they both play as well as they can, and stay in tune with themselves on the higher frets vs lower frets, if that makes sense.

Either put rails on your strat or put a bigsby whammy on your les paul
You could get a Les Paul and put a Bigsby on it.
