how to enable directx?
i try to play halo on my pc and runescape hd not a nerd! but anyways it says "A problem occured initializing DirectDraw. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled,plaese run DXDIAG." so i hit start and clicked start and ran the program. it did't work when i tried playing either of those games. so if you have any answers please email me! my email:[email protected]

Right click on desktop> properties> "settings" tab > click on "advanced"> click on "troubleshoot" tab > make sure hardware acceleration is full.
Click on start> then "run"> type "dxdiag" without quotes
A windows with directx diagnostics would open up
Click on the tab that says "Display"
make sure Direct draw, Direct 3D, AGP acceleration are all enabled. Test Direct Draw and 3D
make sure you dont have an outdated version of directx, update it.(9.0c at least)
If you have AGP/PCI express Video card, check if its compatible with the game, change settings of card( resolution, effects etc)

goto run and type DXDiag the press enter. then go to display tab. it should have tell you if directx is enableed. if not then click the enable button. if your game still dont play then try reinstalling directx, of update to the latest version.
