I am shopping around for a laptop and can some one please explain if there is a huge notifiable difference between Intel Dual Core T3200 ( 2GHz 667MHz 1MB ) and Intel Dual Core T5800 (2GHz) ? the both laptops have 4GB DDR 3 memory and Vista 64Bit OS

T5800 is faster, T5800 is the intel core 2 duo processor, 2nd generation, while the T3200 is intel Dual core, which is the first generation. T5800 has twice as much cache as the T3200 and runs at 800MT/s front side bus while the T3200 runs at 667.
get the T5800
you wouldn't notice any difference at all. unless you are doing heavy processor intensive tasks like creating a bridge in CAD, editing a 4 GB raw image file in photoshop, simulating World Trade center collapsing model, runing CRYSIS at max settings and very high resolution with a GPU/graphics card capable of maintaining a frame rate over 30, and .... oh you get the picture, dont you?
oh i forgot, if you are doing video encoding than you will notice some difference too.
get the t5800, it will perform better because it has double the L2 cache
