Interracial Couples: Black girl and Japanese guy?
I'm a black girl and I think asian guys are attractive (well all guys, I don't care about the race). I have dated black guys, white and some mixed latino guys. I never was intersted on dating asian guys but I did like them. Its just I never saw a black girl with an asian guy before. I live in Canada (a small town) and you don't see that much interracial couples, especially asians with black people. And so there was a new guy in my class, he's japanese and he's really hott. He asked me out today and so I didn't know what to do so I said I will think about it. Can someone give me some advices,? Any black girls ever dated an asian before?

people always talk but what you have to remember is that talk is cheap.
in my family the younger generation (like my brothers 1st and 2nd cousins etc) either date somebody who is a different race or is married to someone that is a different ethnicity

My sister married a white dude and we all love him, he's one of the family, so we not all like that. I honestly don't care as long as the black woman I see a white dude with ain't my wife, lol. There's a lot of self-segregation in the black community and an intolerance to outsiders. It's stupid, but to a lot of black men, a black man with a white woman is viewed as a sort of justice: something he's taken from "the man", while a white guy with a black woman is seen as a hostile intrusion into the black community. Sorry to say, but the black community struggles with progress too. The idea of "color-blindness" is something many black people expect of other races, but feel no obligation to live up to themselves.
Uh... you said you'll think about it? He probably thinks you don't like him now. I'm not sure if he will ask you again. I'm a guy and if I ask out a girl I just met and she tells me she'll think about it, I take it that I'm not her type. It's also an insulting let down like at the end of an interview and they tell you Ok if we need you we'll call... if I'm not getting the job, just tell me No so I can move on! Even if she really meant she will think about it because she has things going on in her life, and she later asks me out, I just might reject her out of spite (cuz I'm mean like that). You may have lost this guy who could've ended up being a really nice guy, because you cared about what OTHER PEOPLE would've thought of your interracial relationship.
It doesn't matter if your black or whatever race he likes you and that's why he asked you out and if you like him you will say yes.Don't care what other people say you like him and he likes you that's all that matters. Have a little self confidence.
Go for it! Be different, don't hold it back because of race. It hasn't stopped you before, why stop now?

Japanese culture is against Interracial Couples as it is dishonorable of the Japanese family. It would take a whole lot to break the customs beyond friendships.
..i like asian guys too...actually i like all kinds of guys...no discrimination.....but if i were you i would say yes i mean you like him so what's the problem? Go for it! =)
