The creation of religions and myths is based on past human events; a great king or chief could have worked in concert with his village to invent boats and sails (or queen, too).
Their names were forgotten long since; however, they have achieved mythical status because they're so far apart in time that we can't imagine not having had their feats today if it were not for the myth of them. We see them as so far apart, some achieve God-like status; the inventor of timetaking must have used the sun and moons; this went down as a god creating fixed points in the sky for us to dictate time and seasons.
It's all human work, either way you put it, reality and myth.
We are indeed "of God" meaning that we are ONE with the Father. Many have come to know this by becoming fully one with the Father, God if you will. However no one has quite captured the Christ as well as Yeshua of Galilee.
We are all "Christs-in-Training" regardless of our practicing faiths, beliefs and religions/non-religions. Much of Christianity will argue this statement but alas it is truth.
We do not have "power" to wield over others by embracing the Godliness of ourselves, in fact to believe or to covet such power is a sure indication that you are far from embracing one's Christ-within.
I don't think so. I think that we collectively make up the God energy that powers this existence. I have heard it said "if God is an ocean, then I am a glass of God." That rings true to me.
Depends on who you talk to. Zen makes the claim that eventually, when you learn enough, you will become "one with the universe" which SOME would say makes you a god of sorts. Organized religions, such as Catholics, Protestants, Islamists and the like ALL say NO to this idea as all of these organizations claim their god is the one true god. All I ask is this, will the one true god please stand up? It is impossible that each and every religion out there DOES have the one true god... I make NO claim that there is NO god, just that I see no evidence there IS a god. BIG difference there! Like I said, will the one true god please stand up?
First of all Lord is not man.....as per the Quran " Allah is one,He is not born from anyone, nor He has given birth to any one,He is not the father of any one nor his father is,HE is one and the only one....." so dear where is the term coming from anyone's mind that whether there is any potentiality of man's for being the god....Maz Allah May Allah forgive those who think like this and He may give Hidayat to all of us.....Ask Allah for his help.....and for everything.....Amin

Yes, absolutely!!!
I think this knowledge is what makes some people crazy, because they have a hard time living up to their Divine potential.
God is an individual. If you want, you may call his name as God. God is a spirit person. You can become one of the spirit persons.
You have the potential to become the President of USA. You don't have the potential to become Barack Obama.

Yes, man isn't a potential God. To be a god, you must break the laws of physics and logic. We can't do that.

Man can be anything that he conceives in his heart and sets out to achieve. Feel sorry for the witless feebs who deny this!
If you know what a "God" is, and sincerely followed all the hardships involved in becoming one, you would become one.
Sure but not THE potential God =P
