Hey I just got admitted to Cal state LA's MBA program, didn't do so well in my applications first round. But I wanna know should I continue with this tier 3 school (whatever that means) or should I pick up my boot straps and try applying anew for next year at an ivy school like UCLA. Should I do this semester at cal state and when I get accepted at an Ivy school drop cal state and start again?

Ivy League refers to East Coast privates like Harvard and Yale. UCLA is a competitive public university.
UCLA's MBA program is top notch and graduates are actively recruited by large financial/business/consulting firms. If you are looking for a new career, going to UCLA is a better bet. If you are just doing the MBA to get a raise at your current job, CSULA would do the trick.

The real fact is that an MBA is an MBA. It is how you use it what matters. Grant it that UCLA MBA program is top notch but at the end that only gets you in, you have to prove yourself to be where you are.
