Has anyone else ever had depression and not felt interested in things they enjoy? I really enjoy playing video games but the last few weeks I just cant get into anything, and when I heard elder scrolls 5 was coming out I would have normally been really excited, but instead i'm worrying i'm not going to enjoy them anymore. I know this is strange but I was wondering if anyone felt like this and if it eventually goes away.
Update:Yeah I have been pretty disappointed with quite a few of the games I had been looking forward to during the year, Naughty Bear, Fable 3(not too bad, still a bit let down though).

Yeah, it's like... Video game cynicism or something like that. I swear it happens to everybody, especially after playing games that were *supposed* to be amazing but were rushed or poorly executed, you know? After a while I noticed that I started getting suspicious of a lot of games and assuming I won't like them. But I've had it happen when I've been flat-out depressed, too, and though it seems to take forever, it does go away eventually. I've just learned not to play any "serious" games during that time -- they always seem to make it worse. Honestly, though, more often than not I just go on gaming hiatus and go on a book spree, or something else.
PS: Elder Scrolls V better be good. So here's hoping...
i felt like that after i beat elder scrolls 3 morrowind on xbox. it was such a ******* awesome game god i loved walking everywhere and talking to everyone, exploring every door in some cave, finding rare armor and weapons, god i miss the expirience of that game. doing so many quests, watching as my journal book filled up. learning all my skills to 100 and joining a bunch of guilds. OH I MISS YOU MORROWIND.
ps. i pretty much played that game for like 5 months and got 100% in my opinion. everytime i think about it it just makes me sad. hell, even the theme music at the title menu makes me think about those memories.
yep it gos away took me couple months.
