I will be staying at the Las Vegas Monte Carlo with my wife for our 5 year anniversary from June 9th - 13th. I was wondering if there are any requests I should make or anything I should try to avoid. Also our plane doesn't arrive in Vegas until like 9:30 p.m. will that make it more difficult to get room requests? Thanks in advance, Sean

My wife and I stayed at the Monte Carlo for our anniversary a couple years back. The funnest thing we did was the first night (the night of our anniversary) I surprised her by renting their spa suite. While I couldn't afford to stay in the suite the whole stay, it was an awesome way to kick off our anniversary trip. It didn't disappoint. It had a wet bar, sauna, large jetted tub overlooking the strip. It added a couple hundred bucks, but well worth it. The cool thing about it was she expected to see a regular room, then when I opened the door, she got so excited. I also concur with being higher up with an east facing room so you can view the lights and action on the strip. Have fun!
Monte Carlo Las Vegas is for your 21 and las vegas you need to be like 21 to do anything fun or going out
I remember Monte Carlo having a later check in time...if I am not mistaken it is 3 pm. You can check websites but I don't always find them accurate. I would personally call the hotel and ask. Either way, you are free to use the pool and they will hold on to your luggage. A great place to grab a drink and a burger is next door at the Espn Bar & Grill *located inside the Ny Ny*. You are in walking distance to M&M World, Gameworks, and the MGM.
If you arrive late into Vegas and it is on a weekend I would venture to say YES, it would be more difficult for a room upgrade.
Great choice of Hotel! Be sure and join the players club online...right now.
I would make my requests up front because of your time of arrival. Call the hotel directly, tell them it is your anniversary and how can they help you make it special.
Beyond that the MC has 3 wings like many others on the strip. I always think a room higher up is preferable because of the view. Might be worth asking for a strip view if you have not been to Vegas a lot.
Be sure and have a lunch or light dinner at the Brew Pub there. One of my favorite places!
The area behind the Monte Carlo is being torn up by construction, and there's no parking nearby. If you aren't driving there should be no problem, I stayed there a month ago and I wasn't bothered by construction noise, but I was bothered by the wait for valet parking. If you are renting a car I'd reconsider if I were you.
